Berlin, Dublin, 20.02.2017
The European technology company Smartfrog introduces its security camera for home surveillance to the European Police Congress on 21-22 February 2017 in Berlin. The Internet of Things (IoT) provider offers an affordable complete solution for everybody, including App, HD camera and cloud-based video storage.
“Traditional home surveillance systems are expensive and complicated. We’ve developed a really affordable complete plug and play solution for everybody, because safety is a basic democratic right,” said Smartfrog CEO Charles Fraenkl. “With our platform we are able to offer a security solution for home surveillance worldwide,” added Fraenkl, speaking to the advantages of Smartfrog’s smart platform solution, which already has users in over 140 countries.
See into your home around the clock via smartphone, tablet or notebook: With the complete solution from Smartfrog, including App, IP cam and video cloud storage, users can see, hear and speak into their own residence 24/7. The Smartfrog Cam is up and running within five minutes, thanks to a quick and easy set up. Installation is as easy as downloading the App, registering, then connecting the Smartfrog Cam to power and WiFi.
Right away you can check on your smartphone (Android and iOS) or PC that everything is fine at home. As soon as something moves or a disturbance is detected, users receive an alarm via email and/or a push notification to their mobile device.
The offer is available for €5.95 (£4.95) per month, with no minimum contract period, and includes monthly video storage, letting you access footage from the last 24 hours. If you have multiple rooms in your apartment, or you would also like to watch over your office, you can combine and control up to 10 cameras with the one App.
As well as the alarm function, motion detection and two-way audio, additional technical features include night vision, 8x zoom and the time lapse, which allows you to compress a whole day’s worth of footage into a five-minute video clip to share with friends. All transferred data is SSL-encrypted and stored in TÜV- and ISO-certified high-security data centres in Germany.
