Introducing the technology
Smartfrog launches new easy-to-install home security solution with app and camera.
Smartfrog today unveils its complete surveillance solution including app (Android and iOS), camera and video storage, for users to have a round the clock view into their homes or businesses, via their smartphones, tablets or laptops.
Smartfrog’s solution is up and running in 5 minutes – it’s as easy as downloading the app, then registering and connecting the Smartfrog Cam to power and Wi-Fi. As well as letting you check in on your home at any time, the Cam becomes a baby monitor with night vision, an aide to check in on elderly parents’ medication, and a way keep an eye on pets. Once something moves or a sound is recorded, the user will receive an alert via email or a push notification on their mobile device.
Furthermore, Smartfrog breaths new life into old smartphones, webcams and laptops, turning them into additional cameras – users can connect up to ten cameras, including the Smartfrog Cam.
“The free app is a fantastic starting point for users looking for a ‘freemium’ solution,” says CEO Andreas Rudyk of the business model. “User-friendliness in combination with our free and paid products, makes Smartfrog a truly mass-market product.”
Other features include:
- alarm function
- notification system
- two-way audio
- night vision
- 8x zoom
- time-lapse video function – users can view the whole day in 5 minutes
All transferred data is SSL-encrypted, similar to online banking, and is stored in an ISO-certified high- security data centre.
